Along with being a very powerful film about an underdog activist running for political office, it's also the first film from Kenya to ever premiere at Sundance! We get into the corruption and misinformation in Kenyan politics, Boni's journey from photojournalist to political candidate, and how they all risked their lives in being part of his story. The sacrifice it takes to put your life's purpose ahead of your own self interests has tough consequences for a family, but it is something that we, as constituents, hope for in a political leader.
