Understanding the current moment that we are living with bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market is extremely important, but it is also important to compare it with what happened in the last bull run of 2017 and to know the differences between both moments. What has been the turning points that have marked the entry of traditional financial institutions and publicly listed companies to Bitcoin is what we discussed with Bill Barhydt, founder & CEO of Abra, one of the first cryptocurrency applications created globally. Bill is a professional with more than 25 years of experience working in companies such as Goldman Sachs, Netscape, and was part of the CIA and NASA. We also talked about the role that MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor has taken in all this growth in Bitcoin as well as what could be the next public company that could be announcing the purchase of Bitcoin for its treasury. I asked him if the Bitcoin market could have been manipulated by the USDT and Bitfinex case, as well as if big whales could move it today. We talked about ABRA and the growth they have had in the last year, where he told me that they already have operations in more than 75 countries and that in Latin America they are implementing pilot programs in Central America for the acquisition of cryptocurrencies with paper money in convenience stores through ABRA. Finally, I asked him about his vision of the traditional financial system, the CeFi ecosystem, Defi, and what we might be seeing in the next few years.
